House Mouse Bride & Groom

One of the women who does the lion's share of the work on one of the committees I am on recently got married and is on a month-long South American cruise for her honeymoon.  I made this card to send from our entire committee.  I actually don't own this stamp, but think I'll definitely have to buy one because they are so darn cute!

Congrats Simone

One of the women in our card group recently was promoted and I thought a card would definitely be in order -- which is amazing because usually I only think of doing one weeks later!  Simone is now a Director and I hope it is all that she is hoping it will be ... you couldn't pay me to be a manager but some people obviously have the smarts, stamina and desire to do so and thank heavens!  Simone is obviously one of them so I wish her well.

Goodbye Gardener

Susan needed a card for a lady in her office who was retiring. Among this woman's many interests was gardening, so I chose this cute little Whipper Snapper image.  Regardless of the very busy background paper, it still looked like something was missing so I added the flowers and the cute little button brads.  Now it's very busy, but I like it!

Happy Birthday Sarah

My eldest daughter, Sarah will be 35 on May 25th ... my how the time flies.  I realized when I was making her birthday card that to me, she will always be one of my little girls - and a lovely one at that so this image is perfect to suit my memories and thoughts of her.  She's a woman on the outside, but let's face it, we're all little girls on the inside!

IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE

My poor niece has had a very bad week and I wanted to send her something to if not cheer her up, then at least let her take her mind off her troubles for a little while -- I'm enclosing a cheque so she can go get a facial or a pedicure or something for just her.  It was kind of hard to choose an image that would represent how I felt about her situation without minimizing her pain or adding to it.  This little monkey hopefully will do the trick.

Pamper Yourself

This card I made for my eldest daughter Sarah - who is expecting her second child in August.  She teaches all day; dances attendance on her 5-year old daughter during the evening and doesn't often have a chance to get off her feet - which are killing her!  So, a little something was included in this card as well so she can spoil herself, sneak off and have a pedicure or something -- as long as it's fun!  This is also one of Kimmie's new images - Bridget.

Line It Up!

Our friend Al's birthday is May 9, and I am up to May events in my card production - thankfully!  I sometimes think I'm making way too many cards as I do 5 or 6 a week - but at least I'm using my stuff!  Anyway, back to Al -- he's an avid golfer so I thought he'd appreciate this one ... although I can't say I've ever seen him get quite that low to line up his putt!

Welcome Little One

My friend Susan is my most frequent shopper which is great because I get to use stamps I sometimes have trouble figuring out where to use!  This particular one I just love, the image is so beautiful and ridiculously easy to colour.  This is for a friend of Susan's who is having a boy, hence the use of the blue!

Goodbye and Thanks

What can I say about WhipperSnapper stamps?  The images are always so much fun to look at and colour.  I'm thinking this card should go to our committee member who has secured a job in another ministry (government not church).  Val is quite fun and I think she's like this one -- and while she is blonde, looks not remotely like the driver in the picture!

Morning Miss

Another of Kraftin' Kimmie's new stamps - this one's Angie - and I've made her for my youngest daughter Megan.  Meg works long and hard during the day, and has her 6 and 2.5 year old boys most days of the week and every second weekend.  Needless to say, she's often somewhat pooped!  So, I've made this for her with a "Spoil Yourself" message inside and included a little something so she can go pamper herself with a pedicure or something.  I hope she doesn't use it for anything practical!!

LOTV - Goodbye

2nd in the series of goodbye/thank you cards for departing members of our Wellness committee I thought this little image was so cute, and while not super huge, could be made to look bigger.  I think the whole card is quite pretty and delicate so I hope they decide to give it to the tiny little member that's leaving!

Tilda's Thank You

I think I may have to break down and buy this stamp, because this is twice now I've had to borrow it from Maria - so I obviously like it!  I am on a committee at work that looks at Wellness for the Division.  Three of our members are leaving as they've been transferred to other jobs, so I volunteered to make the cards.  Because the remainder of the large committee has to sign and say their farewells, I make an 8.5 x 5.5 card so there'd be room for everyone.  Consequently, I've had to use some pretty large images so they aren't dwarfed.  This is the first in a series of 3.

Life is How you Bake It!

I just love these new Kraftin' Kimmie images!  So, when one of my out-of-town colleagues recently mentioned his wife's birthday was coming up and he was getting her a new kitchen for her day, I thought this stamp would be perfect to make a card with.  I shamelessly begged him to allow me to make her card.  He hasn't seen it yet as I'll give it to him when we meet next week, but I'm sure he'll like it!
