PLUM PERFECT!

One of my colleagues at work recently gave me a pretty little purple African Violet - I am finally (shamefully a bit late) going to give her a thank you card.  I'm unfortunately now at the point that I have so many new stamps I'm forgetting what I have so card making is becoming a bit more challenging!  It was fun to make though because I got to use my new Spellbinder Nestabilities!

Kinkade Cottage

I got a bunch of Thomas Kinkade stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms before they closed.  They are beautiful images and very, very difficult to colour.  I'm still working on my technique but am getting closer.  Maybe next time I'll try on glossy paper so it doesn't look so flat.  Regardless, it's not bad ... I made it for a friend of mine that I am going to see next weekend at her cottage - I've actually made the card before I went for a change!

Happy Wedding

Just became aware the other day that one of my colleagues in the Sault had gotten married -- so because these opportunities to use situation-specific stamps don't come up often, I used my new Magnolia bride and groom.  I also used Neenah paper to stamp and colour them on instead of the Hammermill I usually use.  Although I did find the blending easier, I like the overall effect of the regular Hammermill I usually use. Thanks Maria for giving me a couple of sheets to try out though!

Japanese Tilda

I just got the international group of Magnolia's new release, and my but they are cute!  This is the first one I've done, and am anxious to do more, but I have a few "obligation" cards I still have to do before I can start goofing around!  Actually I'm going to get to use my Magnolia bride and groom next so that's not so bad!
