Card Patterns Sketch 55

Last one for today! Although I've still got 2 new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps I haven't used yet! But supper has to be made and with no fairies in the house to do it, that leaves me! This card was fun, although I wish I'd had some different paper to use as backgrounds! Here's the data:

Paper: Hammerhill 100lb. white; Martha Stewart
Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie
Ink: Unity - Noir
Colours: Copic Markers

Pile it On and Stampin for the Weekend Challenges

Not sure I know what I'm doing on this one, but the card is cute nonetheless. I started out intending to enter the Unity Stamp challenge and realized when I'd done that I'd used Kraftin' Kimmie's Chester stamp! He was too cute to ignore. Here are the details:

Paper: Hamermill 100 lb.; embossed with an SU texture plate; Martha Stewart background paper; SU glorious green strip
Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie -- Chester
Ink: Unity - Noir
Bling: Buck Store Crafts - self-adhesive rhinestones
Colours: Copic Markers

Like I said I'm entering 2 challenges at once (maybe) the link to one is: http://www.stampinfortheweekend.blogspot.com/ and the other is http://www.pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/. Wish me luck (in entering in the first place!)

Just Scraps.CA - Red, black and white entry

My, but this is fun! Today's first card is my entry to a new site I was introduced to: http://www.justscraps.ca/ - it's a totally new site and seems quite nice. Today's challenge - red, black and white. And, luckily my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps came in --- a good omen perhaps!

Here's the data on the card:
Paper: Black & White Background - Me & My Big Ideas; Red and Black - SU
Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie
Ink: Unity - Noir
Colouring: Copic Markers
Ribbon: Who knows? Bow made with Bow Easy
Off I go to enter more challenges! I'm off today and taking full advantage, especially now that my laundry and all of my ironing are done as well. I feel like Martha on speed! In case this blog is being monitored by CSIS or something - I use the word "speed" only in a joking manner - no pharmaecuticals were harmed in the making of this card!!!

Blog #3 - Mojo Monday Contest 130

Pretty exciting this blogging! I've been away for a couple of days, hence lack of posting. This is my entry for MOJO Monday's contest #130. Here are the particulars:
Stamped Images: Unity Stamp Company
Paper: Patterened paper - block; SU Mellow Moss; Pale Plum
Ink: Unity - Noir
Colours: Copic Markers
Ribbon: Home Shopping Channel package; tied with a Bow-Easy
Glitz: Crafts - Self-Adhesive Rhinestones (dollar store!)

This blogging and contest stuff has added an entirely new dimension to my work! I am, however, now neglecting doing the cards I should be - will I ever find a balance? Unlikely!

Card Patterns Sketch 54 Entry

Well, here I am with Blog #2 - so far so good - even took the picture myself! To create this card I used some nameless background paper; Stampin Up cardstock in Pacific Point and Blue Bayou; fishermen is from Stampin Up's Angler set; Fish is from Inkadinkado. Pacific Point ink to stamp the fishermen; Copic Markers to colour the fish and hook. Hook is also from Angler set. Some 10 lb. hemp to "anchor" the card. Here's hoping!

Monday, March 8, 2010

This is my first post on my new blog. I have decided to try and enter contests to cut down on my spending! This is one I'm entering where the requirement is "green". This is my entry for Cute Card Thursdays Challenge #102. Apparently I should be listing supplies used! I started with a 5" square piece of white card stock. I then used a piece of Certainly Celery Stampin' Up Cardstock for the slightly smaller piece; next - a slightly smaller yet piece of Me and My Big Ideas background paper. The stamp itself is from Stampin' Up's Peace Within; coloured with Copic Markers. Ribbon is from some ribbon kit I bought on the Home Shopping Channel. And that's about it.
