Congratulations Grandparents

Part of the card collections I am making for Candys -- there is one each for a grandmother of a new granddaughter or grandson; and another for the grandfather of a new granddaughter or grandson.  I also went a little emobssing nuts -- which may or may not show up in the pictures.  I used a variety of stamps so will try and clearly identify what's what!

Happy Birthday BBQ

Just had a grandparents' weekend at Sarah's to celebrate both Father's Day and Ken's birthday.  The 6 of us grandparents, fortunately, get along very well.  I love this card I made for Ken.  It uses the Whipper Snapper BBQ guy - what's not to love?

Father's Day

Although John isn't my father, he is a father to my 2 daughters, and that's good enough for me!  Sadly I didn't get around to making the poor man's card until Sunday --- shameful for a card maker to make her partner wait!  Regardless because I felt bad I used one of my Whipper Snapper stamps because I love them so much.  Got a chance to airbrush the background with my tiny can of air and my copic markers.  Life is good

Welcome Home Lindsay

My neice is finally returned from  Australia, and the party is on Friday night.  Still have to get some kind of a gift, but at least the card is done.  I looked through my paper for inspiration and found this Close To My Heart Moon Doggie selection, and since Lin's main squeeze is a surfer, and she was in Surfer's Paradise in Australia, this paper was perfect.  The rest just flowed.  Good to have her back in the country though!

Marriage Advice

I was asked by someone to make a wedding card and after verifying that the recipient had a sense of humour, decided to use this super cute Whipper Snapper stamp.  The inside of the card says "Don't go to bed angry".  I also got to use one of my new Cuttlebug embossing folders, and some of my new techniques learned this past weekend at the Copic Certificaton Course.  A wild spending spree also resulted in acquisition of a bunch of new markers -- so life is good.
