Happy Birthday Danny

It sucks to get older!  In my initial post I had indicated that I got this stamp set as a bonus from Scrappin'Great Deals --- well, I didn't -- I got this stamp as a bonus from the lovely Stephanie Zito from whom I purchase Ippity Stamps.  The set is from High Hopes and features Mudzie and Chopper ... Hence my slightly modified posting!
This is my little Daniel's birthday card - Megan pretend you've never seen this! The stamp set it is sooo cute I thought it would be perfect for the little prince!  I used one of the new Sissix impression folders as well for the card background and applied a little more pressure than necessary which actually turned out quite well.  There is money under the little star in the upper left corner.
Materials:  Stamp: High Hopes; Card stock: SU Glorious Green; Markers: Copic; Sentiment - Clipart and Word!

Sassy Girl

I just love these stamps!  Although this card is for a December birthday, the recipient is a bit of a sassy lady so I'm thinking she'll love this card.  I did find that doing  her in yellow instead of the usual reds and blues I tend to do her in softened her a bit -- but there still a bit of edge!
Materials:  Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie; Sentiment: Unity; Background Paper: SU - emossed with Sissix folders. Colour - likely you can guess - COPICS rock!

Bird Fairy

I was commissioned to make a birthday card for someone who likes angels and blue.  Well, I had fairies and blue so this is what I created. I think the Kraftin' Kimmie images are just beautiful and so much fun to colour.  I have a feeling something is missing on the front so at least I have a week or so to rethink it before I hand it off to the owner!
Materials:  Card Stock: Bazill; Background Paper: SU; CTMH; Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie - Bird Fairy; Colours:  Copics of Course! Bow made with Bow Easy

Fall(ish) Flowers

Another card for a November birthday - I though it was looking a bit too summery, hence the addition of the pumpkins in the bottom right corner.  I was looking for an excuse to use my new punch to make a fence and thought a flower garden would be about right!
Materials: Stamps: Ippity (flowers) SU (background and pumpkin); Polka-dot background paper: Ippity; SU - always artichoke for fence and trim.  Markers: Copic (surprised?)

Worm Birthday Wishes

Not a typo as you'll see from the image - this little Whipper Snapper image was just too cute not to use.  I'm still not entering any contests recently because I can't find the ones I want - so I'll have to wait for instruction. In the meantime, I continue with my cards that have to be done anyway.
Materials:  Stamps:  Whipper Snapper; Sentiment Ippity; Background Paper: Ippity; Card Stock: SU; Glitter - Martha Stewart. Markers: Copics

Hey Girlfriend

This card I've made for a friend of mine's birthday -- I don't think she follows my blog so I'm likely safe .... why is she not following my blog if she's a friend you may ask ---- good question!  I'll explore this further .. after her birthday!  This is another 6x6 card ---and I'm optimistic I'll find an envelope supplier. In the meantime, here it is.  I also decordated the inside but didn't take a picture of it. Just imagine something soft and swirlly!
Materials:  Background paper: K&Company; Stamp: Whipper Snappers - Madison Avenue; Markers - Need you ask - Copics of Course! Sentiment - had to make it in  Microsoft Word!
Here it is:

Am I Blue?

I appear to be enamoured of the colour blue today.  These flowers just called for blue markers.  It is a birthday card for a November birthday.  I like the person, hence the bling in the bottom right hand side ... why would I make cards for people I don't like you may be wondering?  I'll not tell - I choose to remain a bit mysterious about some things.  I might decide to add some Happy Birthday kind of messaging on the front - we'll see tomorrow what I think about the card front.  Regardless, I do like the flowers!
Materials:
Stamp:  CTMH Enjoy Every Moment
Background Paper: Martha Stewart
Markers:  Copic of course

Diving Into It All

This card was so much fun to make!  My Whippersnapper stamps finally arrived today.  I've been waiting for this one in particular to make one of my October birthday cards.  I had no real idea when I started that it would end up being a round card -- the materials just spoke to me!  Now, of course, I really have to do something about getting some 6" envelopes because the card is too big for a 5" one!  Oh well.  Colouring was loads of fun and applying the glitter just kind of finished it off.
Materials:
Stamps:  Whippersnapper (Nautical); CTMH "Enjoy Every Moment"; Ippity little fish; SU Sincere Salutations
Ink: Momento black
Markers:  Copics (I'm in love)

Fall Birthday Card

I must say that I am quite pleased how my colouring turned out on this one.  As I said in yesterday's posts, I'm working on November cards right now, although this one here is an October birthday --- so sue me! So, if the person whose birthday is in October who is getting this card doesn't like, it's kind of too bad --  you'll have to wait for a different one next year.  And no, Jenny, it's not you!  I used a small variety of materials here -
Stamps:  SU (Gifts of the Earth); Sentiments: CTMH;
Background Paper: Ippity
Ink: Ippity - Brown
Markers:  Copic of course!

Poor Johnny

Well, my poor husband John had to have a tooth removed on Wednesday.  Poor guy. Luckily, Jenn had been able to secure the Tooth Fairy CTMH stamp set for me a few weeks ago, and this gave me a good opportunity to make him a card.  Note that the little white circle with a tooth on it in the lower right hand corner of the card conceals a "loonie" behind it.  It was only an incisor so I felt $1.00 was all it was worth.  He was very happy to get it.  I hid it under the pillow-sham, on top of his pillow so he found it when he went to bed.  Boy, was he surprised!!!
Materials:
All stamps: CTMH; Background paper: CTMH; Loonie: Canadian Mint (not visible).

Such a Cute one

Although this is almost a direct rip-off of a card done by Elaine Hughes, I think if she looks she'll be flattered that I tried to copy hers.  I so love these Kraftin Kimmie stamps I'm having a hard time using anything else lately.  This is an anniversary card -- you'll have to trust me that the inside says Happy Anniversary!

Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie; Markers: Copic; Ink: Momento Black

Black and Whites

Don't adjust your sets - the following cards are supposed to be in black and white - my tribute to colour!  Since I've received some "negative" feedback about my lack of blogging of late I thought I'd just publish a bunch of cards I've been working on.  I've been somewhat busy trying to get caught up in my advance card making.  In order to cut down on unnecessary panic on my part I make my cards in advance for those events I know are coming - like birthdays and anniversaries.  I'm now at November and am hoping to finish all but my Christmas cards within the next couple of weeks. Then I can start on  other stuff!  The following cards are all anniversary cards...so if you happen to get one, you'll know where you saw it first!
